Roku keeps the data it already collected while this was on. Turning it off stops new collection.

Stops it watching

  1. Use Info from TV Inputs (ACR)

    Recognizes what's playing from every input, including game consoles and cable boxes.

    Go to Settings › Privacy › Smart TV Experience › Use Info from TV Inputs

    Turn OFF Roku stops recognizing what's on screen. Everything keeps working.

Stops the ad profile

  1. Limit Ad Tracking

    Stops Roku using your activity to target ads.

    Go to Settings › Privacy › Advertising › Limit Ad Tracking

    Turn ON Ads stay, targeting stops.

There is no single Google TV path — each maker changes the menus. Sony sets may also carry a separate Samba TV opt-out.

  1. Intelligent settings / content recognition

    Some makers hide screen recognition under picture settings.

    Go to Settings › Display & Sound › Intelligent Settings

    Turn OFF Recognition stops where this exists. Not every set has it.

  1. Smart TV Experience / Viewing Information

    Recognizes what's on screen.

    Go to Settings › System › Privacy

    Look for a viewing-information or Smart TV Experience toggle and turn it OFF Recognition stops if the toggle exists on your set.
