Stops it watching

  1. LivePlus (ACR)

    Screenshots what you watch, many times a second, and sends it to LG.

    Go to Settings › All Settings › General › System › Additional Settings › LivePlus

    Turn OFF Your TV stops sending screenshots of what you watch. Streaming and apps keep working.

Stops it listening

  1. Voice Recognition

    Sends what the remote hears to LG for processing.

    Go to Settings › All Settings › General › AI Service › Voice Recognition

    Turn OFF The mic button on the remote stops working. Everything else keeps working.

Stops the ad profile

  1. Viewing Information agreement

    Lets LG use what you watch to build an ad profile.

    Go to Settings › All Settings › Support › Privacy & Terms › User Agreements › Viewing Information

    Uncheck Ads on the home screen get less personal. Nothing breaks.

  2. Interest-Based Advertisement

    Targets the ads on your TV using your profile.

    Go to Settings › All Settings › Support › Privacy & Terms › User Agreements › Interest-Based Advertisement

    Uncheck You still see ads on the home screen, just not targeted ones.
